I followed the bird's call while exploring about 25 yards downstream from the large "pool" area, upstream. The bird flew into the grass only 12 feet away. Heart-pounding moment for a US birder. The grass blades made focusing a challenge, along with the bird giving me only about 10 seconds in that position. It then flew up and perched on a branch 10-12 feet over my head!
